Nintendo has always taken a heavy handed approach to their fans and how they get to worship the fuckers, but they’ve always had a steady supply of brown noses ready to come to their defense. You all know it!

Perhaps it’s another example of a newer, younger generation coming in who haven’t been poisoned by the addicts of my generation. These asslicking scum of the universe who have enabled the absolute worst behaviors from the gaming industry is finally going the way of the dodo. Time indeed heals more than reason.
None of this precludes Sega from it’s own sins. Afterall, hundreds of youtubers got fucked over years back over Shining Force videos, and they offered no recompense for their handling of that situation. Not to mention I am still furious about how PSO2 was handled, as well as playing the Sonic fandom against each other. But overall, Sega may be an asshole factory, but that seems to be exclusive to the Sonic side of things. When it comes to everything else, yeah Sega is pretty fucking rad! Little to no DLC schemes, games often feel like games and not exercises in torture (sans Puyo Puyo Tetris. FUCK that shit!)… hell, Sega is more of a pure gaming company than Nintendo could be! They don’t try to be anything but a gaming company (sans the restaurants). And they don’t harass their fans over fan projects. But they WILL get you banned from youtube because one of their developerswas a mental case.
But that’s better than an entire company that jacks off to the DMCA. Their lawyers get excited in pushing around their staunchest fans. What is it they’re doing now? DMCAs over Nintendo music in Youtube videos? I do remember onf of yah posting about how they took down a fan project and STOLE THEIR IDEA FOR AN OFFICIAL GAME! That is an asshole move no other Japanese company has ever done, and I don’t think the Nintards can come up with a decent argument to kiss their requisite amount of Famicom ass.
And to cover their worthless asses and ensure their fans loyalty, they put in Sephoroth to sweep the bad PR under the rug! I didn’t know Nintendo was ran by Channel Awesome seeing as that’s the same bitch move they pulled after the #changethechannel movement.
At this point, no gamer worth their soul should ever give any company 100%. Everytime mother fuckers go crazy and praise the shit out of any company and never gives them slack, they become ARROGANT and CORRUPT! We saw this with Capcom, we saw this Capcom again, we saw this with the Titanfall developers, we saw this with Konami, we saw this with Arc Systems Works (no srsly, releasing a game with over 50% of it’s roster as DLC is scummy as shit), we’ve seen it with Gearbox, we’ve seen it with Troy Baker, we’ve seen it with Blizzard, we’re seeing it with Naughtydog, we’ve seen it multiple times with Sony, and damn sure, we are seeing it with Nintendo. This is a sickening pattern. Gamers have no self-control when it comes to critique or praise, and gaming is hurting because of it. This is why I was saying “don’t get comfortable praising Wayforward or the Shantae series so much, it’s only going to embolden them”. You need to be even… fucking… harsher. They are corruption incarnate.
Speaking of Naughtydog, no it hasn’t escaped me that their LGBT simulator “The Last of Us Part boo” won game of the year for no other reason than to support their agenda. I’ve never understood the whole mantra of “GOTY” outside of being a cheap marketing gimmick, but LOU2 winning goty doesn’t really bother me. GOTY is, in the end, a meaningless title. Especially for a year that is nothing but bad news. Being GOTY in 2020 is nothing to be proud of, you get to sit right next to the fucking Sonic movie as some of the so-called best entertainment of an apocalyptic year where people are too sick and insane as it is to give 2/5ths of a fuck about struggling lesbians. It’s an act of desperation to credentialize the LGBT lifestyle, and it couldn’t come at the worst time.
Besides, GOTY really belongs to Streets of Rage 4 for being the ONLY enjoyable new release in the whole damn year! 😛
Conflicting Views 
I’m invested into PSO2, like at least 100 hours on the game’s timer, so far I’m waiting on them to release more bits of the game (they didn’t release episodes in a complete state unfortunately) so far, some of the character’s tragic moments got me teary eyed (surprisingly, because I’m a emotional null person) and where it’s not a amazing game, it’s been providing me with some enjoyment I don’t get from with other modern games,
I’m trying to dedicate myself to playing more games, instead of browsing the internet all the time, I just started bof: dragon quarter this morning, and it’s dark souls levels of a hard jrpg. You have to be on your toes in this game 24/7 in this game, or you’ll get fucked. I got as far as getting lin in my party until I got screwed over by a giant ant, but I’m still determined to try and finish this game.
Curious question: would the term “reactionaries” would describe sonic fans and non-fans who engage in negative sonic discourse? Especially former fans who hold on their quadruple dipped copies of sonic mania on all platforms of the game to justify they love it so much.

Interesting notes about Ultraman D’s production :
– Because they’re expecting hiatus from 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Ultraman Z is planned and filmed two months in advance, going as far back as August 2019. When the COVID shitshow ensued, the two-month advance in filming is enough to compensate for the two-month period where they can’t shoot thanks to Japan declaring emergency.
– When Kiyotaka Taguchi (Who directs Ultraman shows from 2015’s Ultraman X. He also direct Kiramager’s Yodon Ivy two-parter, where his kaiju movie-inspired cinematography is very apparent) got picked to direct the show, not only he asked Kota Fukihara (Who sadly is no longer in mortal coil as of May 2020) to write for the series, he also proposed his own draft for Ultraman Z despite Tsuburaya already coming up with one. Tl;dr : He and Kota drafted an entire Ultraman series from scratch.
– Recent Ultraman series (Ginga, Orb, Geed, R/B. Taiga has a small security service) didn’t include human defense teams and fighter jets that serve as franchise staple due to lack of budget and labor to portray them. Taguchi got them to add one for Ultraman Z by swapping out the fighter jets for giant robots. The show also hired two military advisors so the defense team of the season can reflect real life military.
– Ultraman Z recently won 6th place on Dwango (Japanese telecommunication company) and Pixiv (Japanese Deviantart except more sophisticated)’s “100 Internet Buzzwords” Annual Award 2020 (The 1st place winner is Muzan from Demon Slayer anime).
– The actor who portrayed the human that serve as Z’s host in the series watched Pacific Rim for reference on how to pilot during cockpit shots.

Shirakura can best be described as the Takashi Iizuka (Or any other asshole Japan dev like Inafune) of Toei, known for being…”audacious” in his creative decisions, not to mention being pain-in-the-ass to work with because of his mandate restrictions. Some of his works include :
After Sentai was saved from cancellation thanks to edginess of Jetman, Shirakura made super kid-friendly and kid-centric Zyuranger, best known in US as MMPR (Episodes that have so many focus on one-off kid characters the rangers barely got focus is the tip of the iceberg), as a follow up. The ratings are not as good as Jetman to the point they have to introduce the Sixth Ranger character into the show to get audience invested in the show…before killing him off later on (They even held a poll on whether he should survive or not. The ‘survive’ camp won, but they decided to kill him any way).
After Kuuga (2000) and Agito (2001) revitalized Kamen Rider after a decade of hiatus, Shirakura actually wanted the series to end with Agito (Even pulling some strings to get the writer kicked off Toei), but Toei wanted Kamen Rider to continue as response to 9/11. His reaction? He made Ryuki (Which became Dragon Knight), which feature dick self-righteous Kamen Riders fighting each other in s battle royale.
He made summer movies from 2012 to 2017 that focus on spectacle premises involving gathering of Sentai and Riders (Super Hero Taisen has Rider vs Sentai fights, Kamen Rider Taisen has old vs new Kamen Riders) with lazy writing and historical revisionism to justify them. Garage Pro TV has reviewed some of them.
The shitshow that is Kamen Rider Hibiki (2005)’s second half. The show is about Kamen Riders fighting japanese demons, with creepy atmosphere balanced by heavy focus on character development and interaction among the cast. The second half under his helm throws out those aspects that made the first half unique while introducing Kyosuke Kiriya, best described as Tommy Oliver-tier Mary sue who’s also a titanic douchebag. The behind-the-scenes issues of the second half with Shirakura at helm is reportedly so bad that most of the actors refused to return.
He got most of the writers and resources intended for Kamen Rider Ghost (Helmed by the dude who wrote Saber) for Amazons web series (Basically a zombie apocalypse reboot of a Tarzan-themed Kamen Rider Amazon from 70s). The show failed to get audience to the point they have to air it on TV to recoup the lack of audience.

As someone who grew up with both Sega and Nintendo games, this is sadly true. One of the things that Sega does that Nintendon’t is that they actually let a few indie developers create games based on their IPs, most notably being Sonic Mania and Streets of Rage 4. Heck, even a new Alex Kidd game is in development, and that surprised me since I thought Sonic had replaced Alex Kidd for good and mainly only appears in rereleases and crossovers (i.e. Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing).
It is nonsensical to compare Nintendo to Disney because they have various differences that are too great to be similar, Warner Bros. has much more in common with Disney than Nintendo does, Capcom has a greater bond with Disney than Nintendo does, and that’s that.
Now that all is said, I am still hoping that Nintendo would learn a thing or two from Sega, their supposed former console rival of the 1990’s, by not getting worked up so much over harmless fan content and allowing the indie developers that they trust the most create games based on their IPs.
If this happens, then I would love to see Nintendo’s more niche and lesser known IPs get a chance to shine with a new game being made now and then.
