Check dis out.

According to Aonuma, Wind Waker HD exists because of this incredible logic.

“When we looked at creating a Zelda for Wii U, there were so many possibilities given the HD graphics,” said Aonuma. “But rather than starting from zero, we actually ran a few tests. We tried converting other console games to Wii U. We actually did this with Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. And the result of that was, hmm, those are semi-realistic representations of the Zelda world so we weren’t really surprised with what we got. But with Wind Waker, when we converted that to HD we were really surprised at how great it looked.”

OH SHIT! IT’S BLOOMING!

You’ve got to be shitting me! This looks hardly any different from the gamecube version!

Oh, just crank that contrast, it’ll be fine, hell!

All this hype from the Nintard Zelda faction and this is the end result!? Just some lighting? There’s nothing High Def about this bullshit. Looks like nothing more than a resolution increase. No added details or anything.

“We actually started thinking, maybe it was too soon to create that graphic style with the GameCube because of the limitations of the hardware. And we’re finding that we’re able to do what we wanted to do: The vision that we had then was being created thanks to the system specs and the HD graphics. It feels like we’re really able to create the complete Wind Waker experience on Wii U. In addition to the graphics, we’ve also got the GamePad and there’s lots of other pluses that we’re finding in converting to the Wii U system.”

Oh Amma, the lies you weave are so…. ugh.

First off, Wind Waker is not the first game to use a cel-shaded graphic style. Fear Effect 2 on the PSX is the first game I can recall that had cel-shading. If not that, the endless amount of Dreamcast titles has quite a number of cel-shaded games. The Jet Set Radio fanboys can attest to that.

Second of all, the Gamecube was one of the more powerful systems out at the time. If that lunchbox could handle games like Resident Evil 4 (one of the more graphically intensive games I’ve played on the system), gamecube had no real limitations. And if you thought so anyway, what did you do that was so significant about this game beyond some fuckin bloom!?

Lastly, Cel-shaded graphics are very… VERY… simplistic. It requires no incredibly powerful hardware to run because cel-shading doesn’t need strong details. It’s visual style alone should carry it fine.

Now Twilight Princess on the otherhand would need MORE work because it was probably the last Zelda game to have really strong details on… everything. You see that tech demo? That looked like it was harder to convert than this piece of shit.

I don’t think they have a raging hard-on for that Toon style but more so because it’s easier to do. Nintendo is lazy as fuck when it comes to graphical detail. All their games look “simplistic” and candy assed. Why re-use that toon shit for 2 DS games? Because there’s no real work needed for making the graphics look decent or passable. Why are we getting this damn remake instead of  an actual Zelda game that people want? Because it actually requires work?

Nintendo, man… everything makes sense now!

The reason Miyamoto keeps doing this fetch quest bullshit with 3D Mario is because it’s easier to design! Instead of gameplay that involves action and kicking ass, lets make several disconnected “rooms” with silly puzzles and gimmicks to delight the mentally challenged morons that praise that bullshit.

The reason Aonuma keeps sticking to a style that no one likes is because there’s less work for the artists to stress out over. And decent combat? Naw, lets just have crappy combat with no cool attacks or anything, just go with the basics where you don’t feel like a bad ass and then we turn the combat into a motion-plus minigame wank fest!

Twilight Princess not being “surprising” enough is bullshit. What’s so surprising about cranking bloom on a visually inferior product? NOT A DAMN THING!

“When I suggested moving forward with Wind Waker HD, internally there was actually a lot of pushback. The reason for that is, people were saying, ‘Oh, that Link. People didn’t like that Link.’ But in talking to our counterparts in the U.S., that wasn’t actually the case, people didn’t have that negative reaction maybe anymore to that younger Link.”

You fucking lying stupid piece of dumb ass shit. People DESPISE the damn toon style! Why do you think all the games that used it failed to make a dent in profits!? Why did Spirit Tracks go into the Bomba bin!? No one wants this toon shit!!! It’s been a fact since Wind Waker! You’re only using it because it’s easy work for you!

“Wind Waker is particularly special because I worked on that just as my son was being born. So it’s the first game I created as a father. For example, the King of Red Lions, I created that, and he has a very paternal, very fatherly-sounding voice, so that I think comes across a little bit.”

TRAINS! TRAINS! HE LIKES TRAINS! WELL THEN HERE YOU GO!

Dammit, I didn’t think that video was accurate when it said Aonuma keeps making games for his stupid kid. That’s fucking creepy he thinks the damn boat is a “fatherly” figure because miraculously some one decided to put out for his ass.

I can’t even imagine working for this company. These people are just as clinically insane as their fanboys. They create their own reality from their poorly characterized perspectives and prejudices in favor of ignoring the fact that people are tired of the constant bullshit they weave! Or they’re like Sega and keep reading all the lies and distortions from their blind supporters and graft that nonsense to everyone.

How’s that? The once ridiculed vocal minority is winning the praise and support of the developers! How fucked is your life?
